Charzin, the electric vehicle charging platform company, announced on the 18th that it had signed an eRoaming business agreement with Hubject, the world’s largest electric vehicle charging network company.
Following this, it is expected that in addition to Korea, charging with the use of EVZone cards, will also be possible in overseas markets such as Europe and the United States.
In addition, it is envisioned that Charzin will provide plug-and-charge (PnC) services to European electric vehicles such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW sold in Korea.
Plug and Charge (PnC) is a one-stop service that following the connection of the EV charging cable to the vehicle by the driver, recognizes the vehicle and instantly facilitates charging of the vehicle and payment.
Both companies have discussed the implementation of blockchain based EVZ wallet in addition to EVZONE card for the payment of the charging of the electric vehicles.
Charzin CEO, Choi Young-seok stated, “Charzin, through Hyundai E-pit Alliance, is already preparing PnC (Plug and Charge) for Hyundai Kia, and following this collaboration, the company is planning to expand PnC (Plug and Charge) to BMW and Benz imported cars.”
